Every year, our students join hundreds of thousands of pilgrims in our Nation’ Capital to pray for an end to abortion and for the respect of the sacred dignity of human life from conception until natural death. It is a great opportunity for our students to join youth from all over the nation giving a voice to our nation’s most vulnerable citizens, the unborn!

Each year, students in the High School (as well as those in 8th grade if room allows) have the opportunity to sign up for this trip in early October. A signup includes a $50 deposit as well as a signed contract by the student and a parent committing to the trip. The trip usually runs about $250 a student each year though the price is determined each year by the Chaplain and is determined, in part, on how many students sign up .

The trip includes an extended weekend in Washington, DC and, aside from the immense spiritual benefit, provides a wonderful education experience.

Highlights from the trip include:

– The March itself

– Mass with all the Diocesan pilgrims from Covington with the Bishop of Covington

– Site-seeing of federal monuments and museums

– A closing dinner that inspires and promotes fraternity among our students
