Rev. Andrew Young
I am the pastor of our parish and school and am a Saint Patrick alum (Class of 2007). Following high school, I studied for the priesthood at Franciscan University of Steubenville and the Pontifical College Josephinum. I was ordained to the priesthood in 2015, spending one year at Saint Pius X Parish and School in Edgewood, KY; three years as the Vocation Promoter for the Diocese of Covington, Vice-Rector of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, and Assistant Master of Ceremonies to the Most Rev. Roger J. Foys, Bishop of Covington. Following those assignments, I returned to Saint Patrick as the pastor in 2019.
As an alum of Saint Patrick School, it is a distinct honor and privilege to now serve in the role of pastor and administrator. My time as a student at Saint Patrick taught me how to study, work hard, and allowed me to develop my faith in ways I never could have at another school. I now have the pleasure of working with many of the same teachers who taught me and helped me to be prepared for the life God has called me to live. My goal for this school is to foster an environment where all students, faculty, and staff are respected, valued, and given the tools to thrive in life and be prepared for eternal life! I want all who come to Saint Patrick School to feel part of our school family and I hope that by creating this environment, our school family will continue to grow each year. Our school is an incredible gift to our community and my goal is to ensure that everyone who wants to be part of our school is welcomed and challenged to succeed in school and in life. I am excited for all the good things happening at Saint Patrick School and look forward to all that the future holds for us!
