Providing an authentic Catholic ethos

At Saint Patrick, we strive, through our Liturgical and para-liturgical life, to provide an authentic Catholic ethos to permeate the halls of our school where Christ reigns and King and Teacher. The active presence of priests, who act in persona Christi, helps to aid the making present of Christ in our school.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the source and summit of our Catholic Faith, is central to all we do at Saint Patrick School. Our regular weekly Mass Schedule is as follows:

  • Monday – K-2
  • Tuesday – 3-5
  • Wednesday – 6-7
  • Thursday – 8-12
  • Friday – K-7

Confessions are offered to every student on a regular, monthly basis.

Furthermore, we offer the following special liturgies throughout the school year:

  • All School Masses on Major Feast Days
  • Car Blessings for our Student Drivers
  • Saint Francis Day Pet Blessings
  • High School Mass at Saint Patrick Cemetery for All Souls Day
  • Saint Nicholas Day
  • Hispanic Celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe
  • Epiphany Door and Classroom Blessings
  • March for Life in Washington, DC
  • Candlemas Blessing of Candles and Procession
  • Blessing of Throats on Saint Blaise Day
  • Distribution of Ashes on Ash Wednesday
  • Stations of the Cross on Fridays of Lent
  • Saint Patrick Day
  • Saint Joseph Day with Joseph Altars
  • May Crowning

Our Students also receive major Sacraments of Initiation during their time here at Saint Patrick:

  • First Holy Communion (2nd Grade)
  • Confirmation (8th Grade

High School Students attend a Day of Prayer and Recollection once a semester and students in Grade 12 make a week long Retreat

Our High School Students also engage in Service Projects throughout the year (one a quarter) to put what they learn here at Saint Patrick School into action in our world. Students visit the sick and elderly, organize food drives, clean up the city, and a whole host of exciting projects to put the Gospel into action!
